Under multiple pressures such as the sharp reduction in rebar production,
vanadium product prices continue to fluctuate at low levels. People in the
vanadium industry are carrying a heavy burden and it is common for vanadium
companies to suspend production and reduce production. In terms of vanadium raw
materials, more than 70% of the companies that extract vanadium from stone coal
have stopped production. The vanadium extraction companies in Yunnan, Hebei,
Guizhou, and Jilin which started the new production in 2023 also have stopped
production for a long time this year. In terms of vanadium alloys, the
operating rates of vanadium-nitrogen alloys and ferrovanadium are basically at
50-60 %. Downstream demand at home and abroad has decreased, alloy production
has been reduced, and the supply of vanadium pentoxide is still in excess.
Under the dilemma of supply and demand imbalance, the vanadium industry
continues to forge ahead and look for new opportunities in the all-vanadium
redox flow battery industry chain!
