The 2025 FerroAlloyNet 20th Silicon Industry Forum & Polysilicon Photovoltaic Conference is scheduled to be held in Kunming, Yunnan on August 4-5, 2025.
In recent years, in order to achieve the "dual control" in carbon dioxide emission, the demand for industrial silicon in clean energy fields such as the photovoltaic industry has continued to grow. Many industrial silicon, organosilicon, and polysilicon projects have been newly built, and the industry has entered a fierce competition stage. The industrial silicon market is suppressed by high supply and high inventory, and prices have continued to fall to break through the cost and there is still no sign of stopping the decline. Factories are facing huge survival challenges. The listing of industrial silicon and polysilicon futures has prompted the renewal and upgrading of the industrial structure. Whether it is the upward and downward extension of the upstream and downstream industrial layout, or the creation of Silicon Valley Industrial Park in the region, the industry is moving towards centralization and integration. The bottoming out of industry prices has forced factories to optimize production processes and explore more ways and methods such as technological innovation to reduce costs and increase efficiency. The silicon industry is experiencing its "darkest moment", and "price trough" is an important means of survival of the fittest in the market economy, and it is also the only way for the industrial silicon industry to clear production capacity and deeply adjust the industrial structure.
In the process of clearing capacity, the upstream and downstream will enter a brutal reshuffle process. Upstream and downstream pay close attention to: How will the industrial silicon market perform in the flood season of 2025? Will small factories in the south have no room for survival?
