Co-organized by China Iron and Steel Association, China Ferroalloys Industry Association, and FerroAlloyNet, 2023 FerroAlloyNet International Ferroalloy & New Energy Application Summit will be held in Beijing on June 14-16. The Implementation Guide for Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction Transformation and Upgrading in the Ferroalloy Industry clearly states that by 2025, the proportion of production capacity above the energy efficiency benchmark level in the ferroalloy industry will reach 30%, and the production capacity below the energy efficiency benchmark level of ferrosilicon and silicon manganese will be basically cleared. The upgrading of high carbon ferrochrome for energy conservation and carbon reduction has achieved significant results, with prominent energy conservation and carbon reduction effects in the industry, and significant improvement in green and low-carbon development capacity. Under the trend of carbon neutrality, the ferroalloy industry will accelerate energy conservation and carbon reduction, and the traditional alloy industry may once again experience a major reshuffle cycle. At the same time, the manganese based new material industry and the nickel cobalt lithium new energy industry are gradually entering a high-speed development channel. Under the comprehensive situation, how will the supply and demand of the ferroalloy industry be deduced in the future, and how will the new pattern of industry development be like?
